I guess I haven’t posted any updates on Leah’s health since she was sick in November. She is much improved and her appetite has returned. However, I’m a little concerned about the potty training. I thought we were good, but she has reverted back to wearing pull-ups at home. She is wearing big girl underwear to school and daycare and she isn’t having any accidents, but as soon as she comes home, she starts wetting herself. Crying she is too scared to go or saying she can’t. I don’t get it.
I’ve been having pain-free days with my foot, so I’m making good progress on getting the house decorated for the holidays. I stil don’t have the tree up yet, but I’m hoping by this weekend that I’ll have it all finished. Leah is really excited about all the decorations. She can’t wait to come home every day to see Mr. Snowman. I have to make sure he is inflated before I leave to pick her up. She gets upset if he is “flat as a pancake”.
Yesterday, Leah was picked the Mighty Knight at her school. It is sort of like a good citizenship award. Her name was announced at the school assembly, she got a lollypop, a keychain, and had her picture taken for the local newspaper. How exciting.
Today, she had her follow-up appointment with the eye doctor. He has decided to give her glasses for the astigmatism. She looks really cute in the frames that we picked out. We should get them sometime by the end of this week. I think she is going to like wearing them, at least at first. She says “now I look like Mama”.
Leah had a genetics follow-up appointment scheduled for January, but the nurse called me today to change the appointment. She wanted to move it up a day, but that isn’t good for me since we have to go Florida for my alimony modification hearing that week. So, the appointment has now been moved to July. It’s just as well, I guess. I haven’t filled out all the paperwork yet, plus my mother is having surgery sometime just after Christmas. So, I guess it all worked out.
I want to thank jenny-up-the-hill from Gus’ Gang for adding Leah’s prayer badge to her website. She could use some extra special prayers.

Hello Mr. Snowman
![]()
Today, I worked on putting up yard holiday decorations. My daughter and I were attending a church Christmas dinner tonight, so I took pictures after I put on her holiday dress. It’s unbelievable, I bought the dress she is wearing 2 years ago. I think I overdid it with the red tights, though. Should have just gone with socks, but I was worried it would be too cold later tonight. It was a nice sunny day all day, so it was a little strange putting up a snowman decoration when it wasn’t even cold. Leah Rose loves Mr. Snowman.
